What are sports medals made of?

Medal custom in general sporting events are divided into: gold, silver and bronze color. A gold medal is a medal usually awarded to the winner of the first place (champion) in a competition, such as the Olympic Games. The second (runner-up) and third (third-runner-up) winners of the competition usually receive silver and bronze award medal respectively. Copper is the preferred metal for making high-grade MEDALS, and among them, copper is used for enamel medals, brass and bronze are mainly used for hard enamel MEDALS and soft enamel MEDALS and other metal MEDALS.
